Chinese ski schools on the look out for qualified instructors

With the unprecedented growth of China’s skier population comes an unprecedented demand for lessons.  It’s therefore unsurprising that several ski schools have begun to recruit both internally and world-wide, and on first inspection wages and living conditions appear promising.

Chongli’s other international schools are also offering attractive packages, including decent standards of accomodation, and the jobs on offer appear to be varied with just as great an emphasis placed on up-skilling Chinese instructors as teaching new clients.  The resorts have also worked hard recruiting highly qualified international instructors to head up their schools, with NZSIA & the French system particularly well represented.  There are even ad-hoc positions available in private schools aimed at ex-pat school children around Beijing.  While it’s certainly early days for Chinese ski schools, there’s plenty of competition in the market and things seem to be moving the right way to establish a strong Alpine culture and guest service culture in time for 2022.
